Placements24 is seeking a Senior VFX Artist to lead the creation of cutting-edge visual effects for film, television, and gaming projects in Randburg. You will mentor junior artists, collaborate with directors and clients, and drive robust VFX pipelines.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of professional VFX experience, a strong portfolio across Houdini, Maya, Nuke, and After Effects, and proficient Python scripting for pipelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in VFX artistry, with a significant senior capacity.
• Demonstrated portfolio across VFX disciplines (Houdini, Maya, Nuke, AE).
• Strong understanding of 3D, compositing, simulations, and rendering.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality visual effects including simulations, compositing, and 3D elements.
• Lead and mentor junior VFX artists and guide workflows.
• Develop and refine VFX pipelines and tools to improve efficiency and quality.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges related to VFX creation and integration.
• Stay updated on latest VFX software, techniques, and industry trends.
