Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Taylor, TX is seeking a SME Senior Electrical Engineer skilled in PLC, VFD, and UPS systems. You will design, analyze, program, test, and commission industrial automation and power-systems solutions for a 24/7 manufacturing environment on site in Taylor.

The role requires strong electrical engineering expertise, problem-solving, and the ability to mentor other engineers on power-system design and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience in system controls, PLCs, VFDs and UPS equipment.
• Strong networking, automation knowledge and advanced programming skills.
• Experience in power-system engineering including utility interfacing and protection coordination.

Responsibilities

• Design industrial automation systems with PLC, VFD, and UPS integration.
• Analyze electrical systems for compatibility with PLC, VFD and UPS equipment.
• Develop PLC/VFD/UPS software using appropriate programming languages.
• Test, validate, and commission PLC, VFD, UPS systems to meet specs.
• Provide technical documentation and client training.
• Lead root-cause analysis and containment actions for power systems.
