Town and Country Veterinary Services is seeking an organized, compassionate Veterinary Technician for a full-time, small-animal practice. You will support examinations, surgeries and medical treatments, perform venipuncture, catheter placement, restraints, lab work, and digital radiography, while providing client education and maintaining equipment and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include assisting doctors, triage, anesthesia monitoring, dentals, and in-house diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary technician with strong technical skills.
• Proficient in venipuncture, catheter placement, restraint, and lab tests.
• Skilled with digital radiography and dental prophylaxis.

Responsabilités

• Greet clients and obtain pet histories.
• Assist doctor during examinations, surgery and procedures.
• Process blood and urine samples.
• Sterilize tools and restock rooms.
• Operate in-house IDEXX machines.
• Position patients for digital radiography; ensure proper restraint.
• Maintain vaccines knowledge and pharmacology basics.
• Support team during emergencies and routine care.
• Prepare for surgery; assist during procedures and post-op care.
• Educate clients and assist with phones; keep clinic clean and organized.

Job Description

Town and Country Veterinary Services is seeking a well-organized, compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a full-service small animal practice.

We are seeking an experienced technician with strong technical skills: venipuncture, catheter placement, restraint, performing lab tests, digital x-ray positioning, dental prophylaxis, treatment, surgical technician skills, knowledge of IDEXX machines, client education, and a positive attitude.

The right candidate will support the team during examinations and medical treatments, and provide direct care to patients. This individual must be familiar with the proper restraint of dogs and cats for evaluation and procedures. Individual must be familiar with proper cleaning and sanitizing techniques to ensure our facility is safe for our clients.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

• Greet clients and obtain pet medical histories
• Obtain contact information
• Assist the doctor during examinations, surgery, and other procedures
• Diagnostic skills, collecting and processing of blood and urine
• Sterilize tools and restock examination and operating room(s)
• In-house Idexx Machines
• Digital Radiology - understanding patient positioning
• Proper restraint techniques
• Knowledge of vaccines and guidelines
• Pharmacology and knowledge of heartworm and flea tick medications
• Venipuncture, IV Catheter placement
• Triage, routine and ER visits - accurate knowledge of vital parameters
• Surgical preparation and equipment knowledge as well as maintenance
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance

• Sterilization of surgery packs
• Prepping patient for surgery
