Job summary

Oregon Humane seeks a Practice Manager for the Community Veterinary Hospital in Portland, OR. You will balance day-to-day operations with financial oversight, reviewing invoices and driving pricing and policy updates to improve performance.

You’ll lead a team, manage data integrity in PIMS and AllyDVM, and collaborate across departments to ensure compliance and mission-driven service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Animal Science, Finance, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years’ experience in veterinary practice management, healthcare operations, or a similar role with financial oversight.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, accounts receivable, and auditing processes.
• Experience maintaining data integrity in PIMS and related software (CRM or client communications).
• Experience developing, implementing, and improving SOPs and driving team adherence.

Responsibilities

• Embed financial growth, sustainability, and operational efficiency into day-to-day decision-making and long-term planning.
• Conduct regular financial analyses, including invoice reviews, audits for missed charges, and identification of revenue opportunities or risks.
• Monitor employee discounts for IRS compliance and resolve aged receivables with clients and staff.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to provide leadership with actionable insights and drive improvements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs; manage pricing updates and change management.
• Oversee client financial programs such as payment plans and ensure compliance.
• Lead budgeting processes, KPI tracking, and board reporting.
