Job summary

Oregon Humane Society is seeking a licensed DVM to deliver diagnostic, treatment and surgical services for dogs, cats and other animals at our Portland campus. The veterinarian will lead clinical teams, provide expert medical advice and ensure care aligns with state standards and organizational values.

The role involves outpatient and inpatient care, mentorship of interns and collaboration across departments, with a focus on compassionate, high-quality care and community service.

Qualifications

• DVM required and in good standing to practice in Oregon.
• Ability to lead veterinary staff and students.
• Strong communication with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical and surgical veterinary duties with high volume and quality.
• Communicate examination findings and treatment plans to clients.
• Provide mentorship and clinical guidance to staff and students.
• Maintain medical records in accordance with state standards.
