Job summary

The Supervisory Veterans Service Representative (Assistant Coach) at Veterans Benefits Administration oversees the adjudication and authorization of Veteran compensation and pension claims, serving as the alter ego of the Coach in their absence and sharing responsibilities daily.

Qualifications

• One year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11.
• Ability to interpret the full range of C&P laws and regulations, including Court precedents.
• Experience in adjudication and authorization of compensation, pension, and claims.
• No educational substitutions for the grade 12 level.
• Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff who adjudicate and authorize VA compensation and pension claims.
• Act as the alter ego of the Coach in the absence of the Coach and share responsibilities daily.
