Job summary

Crowley in Norfolk seeks an experienced Marine Engineer to coordinate and oversee maintenance, repair, and safe operations of vessels and equipment. You will liaise with the vessel Chief Engineer, manage contractors, and monitor regulatory inspections to ensure timely, compliant work.

The role requires 5+ years in marine engineering, a strong knowledge of propulsion and auxiliary systems, and proficiency with NS-5 software and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marine engineering or related field; USCG license preferred.
  • 5+ years in marine engineering; sailing onboard a vessel.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

  • Develop repair specifications and oversee vessel repairs.
  • Liaise with Chief Engineer on maintenance needs.
  • Manage contractor selection, contracts, and expenditures.
  • Coordinate vessel certification inspections with stakeholders.
  • Attend vessels during dry-dock periods and oversee spares logistics.
  • Prepare repair cost estimates and project schedules.
