Job summary

Moody’s Analytics seeks an experienced Vertex/O Series specialist to lead integration with SAP S/4HANA and manage global indirect tax configurations across multiple regions. The role requires deep tax domain knowledge and hands‑on experience with Vertex and SAP ecosystems.

You will work within Moody’s SAP Center of Excellence, collaborating with Tax, Finance, IT, and external advisors. A Bachelor’s degree and Vertex/SAP certifications are preferred; US salary ranges are offered for a full‑time,

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands‑on Vertex O Series 9.0 implementation and support, with SAP F&A and Vertex tooling experience.
• Experience with SAP integrations with Vertex including AP, AR, SD, Intercompany Invoicing and tax mappings.
• Experience supporting global tax implementations across multiple regions; greenfield, cutover, hypercare, and production support.
• Functional understanding of Sales and Use Tax, VAT/GST, tax exemptions, multi‑jurisdiction determination, and global tax matrices.
• Experience with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, e‑invoicing, and CTCs including country mandates such as Peppol, LATAM, India GST.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Vertex O Series integration with SAP S/4HANA, including tax procedures and reporting structures.
• Design and support tax integration across end‑to‑end business cycles and postings.
• Support global indirect tax requirements (US, EU, APAC, LATAM) and tax integration.
• Configure, maintain, and validate SAP Integration Component tax mappings; manage taxability codes and jurisdiction setup.
• Own reconciliation of Vertex tax results to SAP GL and support audits.
• Uphold SOX and change‑governance controls with testing and release discipline.
• Train and mentor staff; drive automation and AI‑enabled tax capabilities.
