Job summary

LA28 is seeking a Senior Manager, Venue Security to play a pivotal early role within a small, diverse Safety and Security team in Los Angeles. You will help design and implement venue-based security plans that safeguard operations while minimizing disruption.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in venue safety, strong leadership, and experience coordinating with government and public safety agencies on large multi-venue events. This onsite role requires flexibility for peak times.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in a fast-paced venue safety/security role.
• 3-5 years of personnel supervisory/management experience.
• Experience in cross-functional security planning and collaboration.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders.
• Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
• Experience in event security, international multi-sport events preferred.
• Experience working with federal/state/local government preferred.
• Multi-venue security planning or large-scale project management preferred.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with LA28 Safety and Security, develop venue-based security plans with minimal operational impact.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to create unified security plans.
• Develop and integrate plans for Pre-Games Test Events with key stakeholders.
• Serve as main liaison for the Safety & Security Department with venues and agencies.
• Identify vulnerabilities and oversee mitigation strategies and plan implementation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and best practices.
