Job summary

Talent Search Pro is seeking a Senior Venture Attorney to lead venture transactions in Dallas or Austin. This full-ownership role partners with founders and investors, focusing on SAFE, convertible notes, and Series financings, with a low billable hours target and strong upside.

You will draft and negotiate company- and investor-side documents, mentor junior attorneys, and help build long-term client relationships while managing engagements across the venture landscape.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of venture law experience at a law firm, ideally a recognized venture practice.
• Track record leading SAFE, convertible note, Series Seed, and NVCA-based financings.
• Experience building pro forma cap tables and financing models.
• Active bar license - Texas strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leading venture capital transactions, including SAFE, convertible note and equity financings, from early-stage to Series A and beyond.
• Advising on and drafting documentation for company-side and investor-side transactions.
• Drafting entity formation, governance and organizational documents.
• Conducting due diligence and risk analysis.
• Mentoring and developing junior attorneys.
