Job summary

Mercury Insurance Company seeks a Senior Vendor Management Specialist to oversee the claims vendor network, including mitigation, restoration, and environmental vendors. You will source and onboard vendors, monitor performance against KPI/SLA, and address escalations to ensure high-quality, cost-effective services for property claims.

Travel to customers’ homes or vendor sites is expected; a company car is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to obtain state specific property claims licensing, as required.
• Must successfully participate and complete formal property claims training program that may take place in person, virtually, or a combination of both.
• 5+ years of successful Property Claims leadership, quality assurance, and/or vendor management experience.
• Experience in a related field: property claims experience, customer service environment, construction, restoration, mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, execution, compliance, maintenance and oversight of assigned Vendor Partners in the Property Claims network; monitor vendor performance to ensure KPI/SLA compliance.
• Develop and provide performance scorecards and reporting; design KPI/SLA frameworks and present insights to leadership.
• Lead data-driven tools and UAT for vendor performance tracking; research and onboard new vendors and products.
• Manage vendor risk, incident items, root-cause analysis and remediation plans; participate in contract modifications and escalations.
• Coordinate on-site and virtual inspections; travel to customer homes or vendor locations as needed.
