Scout Motors in Novi, Michigan is seeking a vehicle validation engineer to own end-to-end EE and vehicle-level validation, including test planning, data collection, and issue resolution across EE, propulsion, chassis, and body domains.

The role emphasizes Safe-to-Drive readiness, Functional Sprint Testing, and cross-functional collaboration with Software, Propulsion, Chassis, Body, and Infotainment teams to ensure high-quality software releases and customer-ready vehicle performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in whole vehicle validation and verification testing.
• Hands-on CANoe, INCA, and validation instrumentation experience.
• Experience defining DVP test plans and tracking changes across fleets.
• Working knowledge of ALM tools (Jama, Polarion, DOORS, MagicDraw, Codebeamer).
• Solid understanding of automotive safety standards and vehicle development stages.
• Experience testing complete vehicle systems to automotive standards.
• Ability to work across global, cross-functional teams.
• Strong ownership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own whole-vehicle validation definition and execution for EE vehicle attributes.
• Define and execute EE validation strategies for performance and safety.
• Serve as vehicle-level validation authority for release deployments (S2D readiness checks and Functional Sprint Testing).
• Lead Safe-to-Drive validation activities across HV/LV systems and charging.
• Lead Functional Sprint Testing for chassis, propulsion, body, charging, and infotainment.
• Develop and manage vehicle-level test cases and validation procedures.
• Translate EE requirements into executable validation plans with acceptance criteria.
• Ensure robust integration between EE systems and software platforms.
• Coordinate fleet validation, software deployment checks, and data collection.
• Establish traceability from requirements to releases using lifecycle tools.
• Collaborate across EE teams to identify root causes and improve release quality.
• Analyze results and provide data-driven recommendations for readiness decisions.
• Document validation outcomes and release recommendations.
