Job summary

International Motors is seeking a Vehicle Environmental & Test Technical Specialist to join our Long-Term Test Group at the International Proving Grounds in New Carlisle, Indiana. This senior role leads hands-on vehicle validation testing and directly impacts performance of our next-generation commercial vehicles.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with 9+ years in product design or new technologies and 2+ years of lead experience.
• Master’s degree with 5+ years in product design or new technologies and 2+ years of lead experience.
• PhD with 3+ years in product design or new technologies and 2+ years of lead experience.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed test plans from multiple internal requests.
• Coordinate mechanics to prepare test vehicles for pedigree testing.
• Coordinate technicians for instrumentation work instructions and data acquisition setup.
• Coordinate drivers to support testing needs.
• Train junior engineers and technicians to capture data and troubleshoot as needed.
• Create procedures for instrumentation and data collection.
• Analyze test data and ensure data integrity.
• Create formal test reports.
• Create documentation for capital planning for data acquisition and instrumentation needs.
• Ensure equipment is properly stored, maintained and calibrated for testing needs.
