Job summary

Grease-Monkey in Georgia is seeking an Automotive Technician A to perform brakes, rotors, fluid exchanges, oil changes, transmissions and cooling system maintenance. You will diagnose vehicle problems and communicate with customers about preventive maintenance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of related experience, can read safety rules and manuals, write clear notes, and work safely with tools. State emissions certification and ASE credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Five(5) plus years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine tickets, notes and other correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers.

Responsibilities

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnoses most cars that come through the shop and repairs vehicle problems.
• Documents all work performed and recommended.
• Road tests vehicles as needed.
• Maintains and is accountable for tools and manuals.
• Operates all tools safely and reports safety issues.
