Job summary

Teleo is seeking a Senior Vehicle Systems Integration Engineer to own the architectural integrity and field robustness of our autonomy retrofit system across heavy equipment platforms. You will shape hardware architecture, drive qualification strategies, and set rigorous integration standards as we scale.

This high-impact role requires leading cross-functional design tradeoffs, mentoring engineers, and ensuring certification readiness. Travel within the United States (~10%) is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 7+ years in mechanical, mechatronics, or vehicle systems engineering roles.
• Experience owning complex hardware systems from architecture to deployment.
• Experience designing for harsh environments (automotive/construction/aerospace/military).
• Experience with environmental and regulatory qualification strategies (IP, thermal, EMI/EMC).
• Experience integrating high-power compute platforms in vehicle environments.
• Knowledge of harness architecture, connectors, grounding, and power distribution.
• Experience integrating perception sensors with calibration, vibration isolation, and thermal drift.
• Strong CAD skills and BOM lifecycle management.
• Ability to operate autonomously and influence cross-functional decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level integration architecture for new vehicle platforms.
• Design and review mechanical structures, enclosures, and compute integration.
• Own environmental qualification strategy (IP, thermal, shock/vibration, EMI/EMC).
• Guide sensor and high-power compute integration in demanding environments.
• Drive harness architecture, grounding, and connector standards.
• Establish validation methodologies and qualification test plans.
• Mentor engineers in systems thinking and first-principles design.
• Troubleshoot cross-domain issues in fielded systems.
