Job summary

Zoox’s Robot Software Infrastructure Deployment team builds the systems that flash and update software and firmware across our vehicles and test fixtures, spanning development, manufacturing, and fleet operations.

In this role, you will design and integrate deployment support for next-generation vehicle components, architect and enhance the core deployment framework and developer tools, and drive performance improvements across hardware and software boundaries with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong Linux knowledge in embedded or constrained environments.
• Familiarity with CAN or other automotive communication protocols.
• Demonstrated excellence in hardware/software triage and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Expand deployment capabilities for next-generation vehicle components.
• Architect and enhance the core deployment framework and tools.
• Optimize deployment speed, efficiency, and reliability.
• Triage and debug complex deployment failures across hardware/software.
• Collaborate with Firmware, QA, Systems, Manufacturing, and Fleet Operations.
