Job summary

Zoox is seeking an Issue Resolution Engineer to ensure quality and build readiness of autonomous vehicles during manufacturing. You will lead triage, containment, and root-cause resolution across assembly and end-of-line validation.

The role requires deep technical knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, strong urgency, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams to implement durable corrective actions and improve manufacturability.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years in automotive OEMs, robotics, or complex hardware in manufacturing.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective actions in production.
• Strong cross-functional communication and problem solving in fast-paced env.

Responsibilities

• Lead triage, containment, and resolution plan for issues in assembly and end-of-line testing.
• Define and execute short-term containment actions and build flow protection.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive root cause analysis and DFM improvements.
• Support permanent corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
• Support prototype builds, production trials, and engineering changes to validate fixes.
• Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track issue health and PIRT processes.
