Job summary

General Motors is expanding its vehicle connectivity team and seeks a software engineer to design and develop Linux-based networking software for reliable vehicle communication.

You will collaborate with hardware, application, and cloud teams to ensure end-to-end performance and reliability while meeting strict power and environmental requirements. A strong background in networking and multi-language programming is required.

Qualifications

• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP and the full network stack.
• Application-level protocols like HTTP explained in practice.
• Ability to triage complex system-wide issues in a team.
• Networking on Linux, Android, or QNX platforms.
• Proficiency in C/C++/Java languages.
