Job summary

Polaris Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to develop CAD-based vehicle layouts, packaging concepts, and powertrain integration for Off-Road Vehicle platforms.

You will lead packaging studies, define requirements, perform trade studies, and guide modular integration across vehicle programs. Collaborate with vehicle, powertrain, manufacturing, validation, and design teams, mentoring engineers and ensuring designs meet cost, manufacturability, and customer value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of mechanical design or vehicle integration experience.
• Experience leading complex vehicle integration or architecture initiatives across programs.
• Creo experience is preferred and 3D CAD proficiency is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of vehicle-level layouts, interfaces, and integration strategies for powertrain modules and subsystems.
• Develop and mature 3D CAD models, layouts, packaging studies, and integration concepts for early development to production.
• Guide trade studies balancing cost, performance, timing, manufacturability, and customer value.
• Create and maintain vehicle-level interface documents and powertrain integration models.
• Support analyses including tolerance, FEA/CFD, thermal, and design optimization to inform decisions.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews and technical decision meetings.
• Benchmark emerging technologies to improve platform commonality and reuse.
• Provide mentorship to design engineers and cross-functional teams.
