Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field; at least one degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; no sponsorship required.
• For MS candidates, at least four years in automotive engineering.
• For PhD candidates, at least three years in automotive engineering.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle technology; strong interest in vehicle performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical engineering analyses of vehicle and transportation-related incidents.
• Conduct field investigations and inspections of vehicles and components.
• Plan and execute field and laboratory tests including crash, sled, and handling tests.
• Analyze mechanical failures and assess design, performance, and safety of products.
• Develop research and contribute to business development opportunities.
• Manage projects and communicate status to teams and clients.
• Prepare clear technical reports and present findings to diverse audiences.
