Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Phoenix, Arizona seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to design, implement, and validate control algorithms for electric and fuel-cell vehicle propulsion. You will work with a cross-functional team to calibrate controls, verify performance on labs and in vehicles, and ensure robust software across platforms.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in embedded controls, strong MATLAB/Simulink skills, and experience with CAN/LIN and auto-code generation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or related field; equivalent experience acceptable.
• 3+ years of embedded controls software experience.
• Strong MATLAB/Simulink knowledge and model-based design experience.
• Experience developing control algorithms for vehicle systems such as torque, braking, or state management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control software in MATLAB/Simulink.
• Coordinate development with other departments; take ownership through testing and validation.
• Collaborate with embedded/integration engineers to implement, test, debug and calibrate control algorithms.
• Provide guidance on software development to teammates; support troubleshooting of control systems.
