The role emphasizes translating objectives into deliverables, managing risks, and guiding teams from concept through launch, while maintaining timing, cost, quality, and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Extensive automotive development and program execution across multiple launches.
• Experience with closure systems (doors, liftgates, hoods, latches).
• Ability to make independent technical decisions and lead without direct authority.
• Strong understanding of development, release, validation, manufacturing readiness, and launch.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to present to senior leaders.
• Proficiency with Teamcenter, VisMockup, NX and related tools.
• Experience with Lean/Kaizen, Six Sigma, DFMEA/PFMEA, PPAP/APQP, Red X, quality plans.
• Collaborates effectively with DREs, studios, plants, suppliers, and leadership.
• Willingness to travel to Warren, MI and work on-site most weeks.

Responsibilities

• Own technical integration across closure systems and vehicle families.
• Maintain an integrated execution plan covering requirements, design, release, and manufacturing readiness.
• Lead cross-functional workgroups and reviews; approve technical content and decisions.
• Identify dependencies, risks, and gaps; assign mitigation owners.
• Escalate before commitments are affected; guide teams through launch.
• Mentor engineers and program leads; coach through reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Communicate status and decisions through concise program reviews.
• Support resource planning and data-driven decision making.
