Job summary

Slate is seeking a Vehicle CAE Engineer to join our team in the USA. The role focuses on performing NVH, durability, strength, and stiffness simulations to support EV body, chassis, and closure structure development.

Under guidance from senior engineers, you will grow in a dynamic startup-paced environment, collaborating with design, manufacturing, and suppliers to meet performance requirements and ensure safety standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
Master's degree is a plus.
3-5 years of automotive structures CAE experience with NVH/durability exposure.
Familiarity with nCode, Optistruct/NASTRAN, ANSA, and HyperWorks.

Responsibilities

Support NVH and durability analysis for BIW, battery structures, and full vehicle.
Build/run full vehicle NVH and durability models using CAE tools.
Analyze results and provide design improvements.
Run iterative simulations to meet performance targets.
Support testing activities and correlate CAE with test data.
Apply DOE and design optimization techniques.
Prepare technical reports of findings and actions.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
