This position requires strong technical ownership in structural NVH simulation across the full vehicle development lifecycle, with the ability to influence design decisions using CAE-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural NVH development using CAE, balancing durability, NVH, safety, weight, and cost targets.
- Develop, validate, and maintain high-fidelity full-vehicle and subsystem CAE models.
- Perform modal, frequency response, and vibration analyses at full-vehicle, trim body, and subsystem levels.
- Define and optimize structural load paths to achieve global modes, stiffness, and noise performance targets.
- Drive weight and cost reduction initiatives through optimization and lightweight material strategies.
- Correlate CAE results with physical test data and continuously improve model fidelity.
- Clearly communicate findings, risks, and recommended design actions to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams across design, testing, and program management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in vehicle structural NVH CAE.
- Strong understanding of structural dynamics, modal analysis, and first-principles mechanics.
- Proven experience meeting global NVH performance targets.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, TCL, or equivalent) for automation and post-processing.
- Experience with OptiStruct, Nastran, HyperWorks suite, ANSA, and MetaPost.
- Experience with AI/ML-assisted CAE workflows.
- Experience across multiple vehicle architectures, including EVs and hybrid platforms.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence design decisions.
