Job summary

LER TechForce, LLC is seeking a Senior Vehicle CAE Durability Engineer in Rochester, MI to lead CAE simulations for EV body, chassis, and closure structures. Onsite role guiding the CAE direction, mentoring engineers, and defining simulation methodologies in a startup-paced environment.

You will own durability simulations, leverage nCode DesignLife, Optistruct, and HyperMesh, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs and meet performance targets.

Qualifications

• ABET/ equivalent engineering degree required.
• Bachelor level with mechanical or aerospace focus.
• ABET-accredited program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead durability, strength and stiffness analyses for BIW, battery structures, trim and full vehicle.
• Build and debug full-vehicle durability models using ANSA/HyperMesh.
• Post-process results with nCode/HyperWorks and recommend design improvements.
• Perform multiple CAE iterations to meet vehicle performance targets.
• Correlate CAE results with test data (RLDA, 4-poster).
• Apply DOE/DFSS and Optistruct optimization tools to improve designs.
• Prepare and present technical reports of simulations and improvements.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and suppliers to achieve performance goals.

Our Client is looking for an experienced, strategic Senior Vehicle CAE Durability Engineer (LER Resident Engineer onsite) to join our growing team. This position will lead NVH, durability, strength, and stiffness simulations to drive the development and optimization of EV body, chassis, and closure structures. As a technical authority, this role will mentor engineers, define simulation methodologies, and shape the CAE direction of the program in a dynamic, startup-paced environmen
