Job summary

Leidos seeks a Senior VDI Administrator to support a large DoD IT contract. The role provides Tier 2/3 operations for Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp, NetScaler, and StoreFront, plus M365 Azure Virtual Desktop. Remote data-center administration and 24/7 operations will be required.

You will work with engineering to modernize and optimize the environment, monitor health, collaborate on latency fixes, and document SOPs. DoD 8140.03 compliance, strong communication, and mentoring are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers to handle inquiries and problems.
• Tier 2/3 system administrator experience with Citrix environments.
• Knowledge of IC IT standards and best practices.
• Extensive Citrix experience: XenDesktop, XenApp, NetScaler, StoreFront.
• Experience managing Microsoft M365 Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD).
• Experience with patch/upgrade methodology for Citrix-based systems.
• Ability to test, validate, and deploy new baseline images.
• Scripting/Automation experience and incident/problem management skills.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• DoDI 8140.03 IT Admin cert requirements met (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide remote administration of servers in offsite data centers.
• Deliver Tier 2/3 operations support for Citrix and AVD environments.
• Monitor infrastructure and perform health checks for reliability.
• Plan modernization with Engineering and address latency issues.
• Coordinate testing/deployments of Group Policy and upgrades.
• Perform backups, monitor licenses, and manage certificates.
• Create SOPs and update 24/7/365 ITOC documentation.
• Mentor junior team members and assist with incident tickets.
• Respond to after-hours outages per mission requirements.
