Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior VDI Administrator to support a large enterprise IT contract for the DoD. You will provide Tier 2/3 operations for Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp/NetScaler/StoreFront and M365 Azure Virtual Desktop, ensuring reliability and improved user experience across multiple locations.

The role requires DoD 8570/8140 level certifications and a Bachelor’s degree with substantial experience. Travel and after-hours work may be required as part of mission-critical support.

Qualifications

• Experience with Tier 2/3 system administration and customer-facing support.
• Extensive Citrix technology experience (XenDesktop, XenApp, NetScaler, StoreFront).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Proficiency in patching, upgrades, and baseline image deployment.
• Strong incident analysis and root-cause determination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2/3 operations support and diagnose user issues vs outages for Citrix and AVD environments.
• Monitor infrastructure health, storage, network, and databases to prevent service impact.
• Collaborate with engineering on modernization and capacity planning.
• Coordinate testing/deployments of Group Policy changes with other teams.
• Perform regular backups and restore procedures for servers.
• Develop SOPs and update 24/7/365 ITOC documentation.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Respond to after-hours outages as required.
