Responsibilities
  • Lead VDC strategy and execution across the project
  • Manage BIM coordination across architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines
  • Lead coordination between project teams, VDC personnel, design teams and trade partners
  • Oversee model development, clash detection and coordination workflows
  • Ensure coordinated models accurately reflect design intent, constructability requirements and field conditions
  • Work closely with MEP and field leadership to identify and resolve coordination issues before they impact construction
  • Develop and maintain project VDC execution plans, standards and workflows
  • Support construction sequencing, logistics planning and 4D modelling
  • Integrate VDC information with project schedules, field operations and wider project management systems
  • Support prefabrication and installation planning through model-based coordination
  • Oversee reality capture, laser scanning, point cloud and site progress technologies where required
  • Use field data and reality capture to validate installation accuracy against coordinated models
  • Identify opportunities to automate VDC and project workflows and reduce manual processes
  • Explore practical applications of AI and emerging construction technology across VDC and project delivery
  • Evaluate new software and digital tools that could improve coordination, productivity and project visibility
  • Work alongside project leadership to develop dashboards, reporting and data-driven project workflows
  • Manage and mentor VDC Engineers, Coordinators and other VDC team members
  • Support project teams and trade partners in adopting VDC technology and processes
  • Maintain relationships with software and technology providers where appropriate
  • Drive continuous improvement and identify lessons that can be applied across future projects
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of VDC, BIM or digital construction experience
  • Experience leading VDC delivery on large, technically complex construction projects
  • Strong understanding of BIM coordination, clash detection, constructability and model-based construction
  • Advanced knowledge of platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, Revit and Navisworks
  • Experience coordinating complex mechanical and electrical systems
  • Strong understanding of how VDC integrates with field operations and overall project delivery
  • Experience with reality capture, laser scanning, point clouds, drones or similar technologies beneficial
  • Experience with 4D modelling, scheduling integration or digital construction planning beneficial
  • Exposure to automation, data analytics, dashboards, software integrations or AI applications highly desirable
  • Data center, mission critical, semiconductor, advanced technology or similarly complex project experience preferred
  • Experience managing and developing VDC personnel
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with project executives, PMs, Superintendents, MEP teams, designers and trade partners
