Pyramid Consulting, Inc. seeks a Virtual Design & Construction Manager I – Mission Critical in Dallas, TX, onsite, for a full-time role with long-term potential.

The role leads BIM/VDC coordination across design and construction, develops BEPs, and guides project stakeholders to ensure model accuracy and timely delivery. The candidate should bring 5+ years in BIM/VDC roles, strong knowledge of construction means and methods, and experience with AutoCAD, Procore, Rhino, and Synchro.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, BIM Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of commercial construction experience in BIM, VDC, or related project coordination roles.
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
  • Experience leading BIM coordination and clash detection processes.
  • Ability to interpret construction documents, schedules, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required by project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage BIM/VDC coordination throughout design and construction phases.
  • Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project-specific VDC strategies.
  • Facilitate BIM kickoff meetings, coordination meetings, and project milestone reviews.
  • Review architectural, structural, and MEP models to identify and resolve coordination issues.
  • Manage clash detection processes and track issue resolution with project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with project teams, designers, subcontractors, and owners to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Create and maintain federated models and coordination drawings.
  • Support constructability reviews, virtual mockups, and model validation activities.
  • Assist project teams with site logistics planning, quantity takeoffs, scheduling visualization, and model-based project controls.
  • Generate RFIs and monitor resolution of model-related issues.
  • Provide regular project updates and communicate coordination impacts to project schedules.
  • Conduct field verification and site walks to ensure installation aligns with coordinated models.
  • Produce visualizations, renderings, animations, and client simulations to support project delivery and business development efforts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of VDC standards, workflows, and best practices.
  • Willingness to travel as required by project needs.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $115,000/annum. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), PTOs, 401k etc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Note: Requires travel 3-4 days every month from Dallas to Oklahoma, expenses reimbursed.
  • Lead and manage BIM/VDC coordination throughout design and construction phases.
  • Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project-specific VDC strategies.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, BIM Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of commercial construction experience in BIM, VDC, or related project coordination roles.
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
  • Experience leading BIM coordination and clash detection processes.
  • Ability to interpret construction documents, schedules, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
