Job summary

VectorNet seeks an experienced VDC Project Manager in Richmond, VA to lead a Reality Capture team and oversee complex LiDAR-based projects from field to final CAD/BIM deliverables.

You will perform hands-on reality capture work, coordinate field operations, and manage schedules, budgets, and client communications while ensuring safety and quality standards.

This role requires up to 75% travel, strong leadership, and deep experience with ReCap, RiSCAN Pro, Cyclone, and AutoCAD workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in LiDAR scanning, Reality Capture, VDC, BIM, or related fields.
• Experience managing technical projects from planning through completion.
• Experience leading field crews and mentoring technical staff.
• Experience serving as the primary point of contact for clients.
• Experience operating terrestrial, mobile, and/or aerial LiDAR systems.
• Experience with point cloud processing software (e.g., ReCap, RiSCAN Pro, Cyclone).
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and have a valid driver's license.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead terrestrial and mobile reality capture projects and field operations.
• Develop field execution plans, scanning strategies, and logistics.
• Mentor Reality Capture Technicians and direct field teams.
• Establish field survey control tied to state plane coordinates.
• Perform QA/QC in the field to ensure data accuracy.
• Process and align point clouds; support CAD/BIM deliverables.
