The role:

As a Senior VDC Engineer specializing in mechanical and/or piping, you will apply your technical and engineering skills across various projects and contribute to thought leadership in BIM and VDC.

This involves ensuring plumbing and/or mechanical projects for trade contractors incorporate BIM processes from schematic design through construction. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and is passionate about developing innovative BIM processes across dispersed teams.

In this role, you will:

• Lead global project management of VDC/BIM projects, planning and progressing projects independently
• Serve as a specialist in plumbing and/or mechanical areas
• Interface with clients, cultivating relationships and presenting work
• Respond to RFIs and manage the RFI submittal process
• Coordinate and lead global project teams
• Create and manage complex design projects within Revit, Navisworks, Procore, BIM360, and other tools
• Participate in and lead training efforts, fostering professional development
• Engage in projects outside your primary focus to broaden your knowledge

Apply if you have:

• A degree in Architecture, Engineering, or similar
• 3+ years of experience with BIM and VDC implementation, training, and support
• 3+ years working with plumbing and/or mechanical trade contractors
• Experience in BIM updates, clash detection, and stakeholder communication
• Experience modeling, drafting, and reading mechanical and plumbing plans
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, self-directed environment
• Strong project management, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Proactive, flexible attitude and willingness to work early/late hours for international coordination

Even better if you have:

• Field construction experience
• Experience leading remote meetings and training via platforms like Asana
• Involvement in project administration: invoicing, budgeting, scheduling, forecasting
• Knowledge of other building systems and constructability of modeled systems
• A portfolio of work to share
• Proven remote team management experience
• Background in providing professional client services
• Experience with AutoCAD MEP and Fabrication CADMEP

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary range: $90,000 to $110,000, with potential bonuses. Actual salary depends on skills, experience, and location.
