Ryan Companies US, Inc. seeks a Senior VDC Engineer to lead BIM coordination, clash detection and construction modeling on Austin projects. You’ll work closely with project teams, trade partners and design stakeholders to drive virtual design and construction processes on active sites.

Expect travel within the region and a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You should have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management and at least 4 years in construction/design, with 2+ years in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years in construction or design field.
• Minimum of 2 years in a Virtual Design and Construction or Integrator role.
• Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection on active projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate with project teams, trade partners and design stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Produce project-specific models, 4D schedules, and visuals for proposals and interviews.
• Coordinate construction model with design disciplines and resolve clashes.
• Lead coordination meetings with subcontractors and vendors.
• Create and update 4D schedules and track milestones with the project schedule.
• Perform quantity take-offs from the model for estimating and material planning.
• Review shop drawings against the construction model for accuracy.
• Manage RFIs and amend the model to reflect responses and changes.
• Support site activities, logistics, and transition to owner facility models.
