Job summary

Concord Hospital Health System seeks a skilled Vascular Sonographer to perform noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations, interpreting normal and abnormal blood flow to aid in patient diagnosis.

Requires ARDMS or CCI certification within 2 years, state licensure for Medical Imaging, and 2+ years' hands-on experience; familiarity with carotid, arterial, venous, and abdominal duplex exams; willingness to cover off-site locations and participate in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Registration required to obtain: ARDMS or CCI registry within 2 years of hire.
• State licensure for Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy is required.
• 2+ years of hands-on vascular ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs Carotid Duplex (CD) exams.
• Performs peripheral arterial physiologic and duplex exams.
• Performs peripheral venous duplex exams.
• Performs abdominal and other duplex exams.
• Manages time and workload fluctuations.
• Assesses patients and adapts to changing clinical situations.
• Documents and maintains patient and test data.
• Chooses correct order codes for tests and submits charges.
• Uses and maintains departmental and hospital equipment.
• Meets departmental and hospital requirements.
• Suggests changes to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Liaises with new staff/travelers and educates Concord Hospital campuses.
• Collaborates on PACS updates and equipment upgrades.
• Organizes vendor demonstrations and educational courses.
• Takes call and covers off-site locations.
• Oversees monthly metrics and presents NRC reports.
