Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical/vocational training in mechanical or industrial maintenance preferred.
• 0-1 year of experience working with industrial valves.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of valves including gate, globe, check, ball, butterfly, safety relief, and control valves.
• Disassemble valves for cleaning, machining, or part replacement.
• Replace seals, seats, stems, gaskets, O-rings, packing, and other internal components.
• Perform valve calibration and set pressure adjustments for relief/safety valves.
• Reassemble and test valves using hydraulic or pneumatic test stands.
• Identify wear, corrosion, leaks, or mechanical deficiencies and determine corrective actions.
• Document repair findings, parts used, test results, and certifications.
• Interpret P&IDs, isometrics, valve datasheets, and technical manuals.
• Work with other technicians, inspectors, and engineers during turnarounds or shutdowns.
• Follow all safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and facility procedures.
