Job summary

The Marzetti Company in Kentucky seeks a Sr. Value Stream Manager with end-to-end responsibility for the value stream, leading process and packaging teams to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently.

You will drive continuous improvement, implement Marzetti Operational Excellence (MOE), and partner with plant leadership to align resources, reduce waste, and meet customer and cost targets while fostering a culture of safety and engagement.

Qualifications

• 10 years of manufacturing and/or management experience preferred.
• 4+ years of experience as assistant plant manager or production manager.
• Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
• Background in manufacturing methods, quality control and process improvement programs, preferably in a food-related industry.
• BA/BS degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and practices a participative management style and team building. Develops talent pipeline of leaders and employees within the value stream.
• Sets strategic direction, prioritizes capital expenditures and resource allocation for the value stream.
• Ensures resources (people, systems, tools) are in place to enable value stream execution against the Operational Master Plan.
• Coaches shift supervisors to enhance leadership skills and operational expertise (e.g., MOE, Problem Solving).
• Promotes accountability and continuous improvement within the supervisory team.
• Drives the MOE program to elevate plant performance and reduce waste.
• Translates the plant OMP into manufacturing goals and KPIs; collaborates with cross-functional teams.
