Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Senior Manager, Valuation Oversight to provide strategic oversight of third-party fund administration and pricing services, ensuring valuations meet policy, regulatory standards, and governance expectations.

You will lead complex valuation reviews, support fair value determinations, and influence decisions through analysis and risk assessment, partnering with portfolio management, fund accounting, technology, and risk.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in financial services, asset management, fund operations, valuation oversight, fund accounting, or related investment operations environments.
Strong knowledge of valuation and regulatory frameworks, including ASC 820, Rule 2a-5, GAAP, and the Investment Company Act of 1940.
Experience supporting the valuation of multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income securities, private investments, derivatives, and other complex investments.
Demonstrated ability to oversee critical operational processes, evaluate risk, and make sound business decisions in a highly regulated environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex valuation matters and recommend appropriate courses of action.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, managing competing priorities, and driving process improvements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting information to governance committees, senior leadership, or similar stakeholder groups.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across diverse teams and business functions.
