Job summary

Obsidian is seeking finance professionals with deep, hands-on experience in modeling, valuation, diligence and the judgment calls that underpin real capital, risk, and reporting decisions. You will design realistic scenarios from your practice area, build supporting materials (models, memos, filings, data), then author and evaluate finance tasks used to train AI agents.

This is authoring and judgment work, not throughput.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of substantive, hands-on finance experience at a recognized institution and currently working in the field.
• Direct experience with the tools this work runs on — Excel/financial modeling, and Bloomberg/Capital IQ/FactSet, data rooms, ERP/consolidation systems, or quant/risk platforms.
• A 10+ hrs/week commitment

Responsibilities

• Design realistic, complex financial scenarios and supporting materials.
• Author and evaluate finance tasks used to train AI agents.
• Own analysis and decisions, defend valuations or recommendations to committees or clients.
