Job summary

SkyWater Technology, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician for its Austin site. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of roughing pumps and abatement systems used in semiconductor manufacturing.

The technician will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, read schematics, and maintain thorough maintenance records. The position requires 5–8 years of relevant experience and the ability to work 12-hour shifts on days.

Qualifications

5–8 years of experience in vacuum pump maintenance or related mechanical/electrical field.
Strong understanding of vacuum technology and pump operation principles.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on rough pumps and abatement systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to pumps and the abatement systems.
Disassemble, clean, and rebuild the exhaust system.
Replace worn or damaged components such as seals, bearings, and gaskets.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
Monitor pump performance and recommend improvements or upgrades.
Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools required for pump servicing.
