Job summary

MSD is seeking a Senior Specialist, Vaccines Technology to provide technical support for formulation, filling, inspection, and packaging at our vaccine POD manufacturing facility. You will join the Technical Team within the Vaccines IPT as an individual contributor, focusing on startup and ongoing operations.

You will be the technical SME across commissioning, tech transfer, validation, licensure, and ongoing support, collaborating with Operations and Quality to ensure robust processes and

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering or Science.
• Minimum of four (4) years of direct pharmaceutical packaging experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on engineering or technical support experience in a cGMP biopharmaceutical/vaccine manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of cGMPs and regulatory requirements for vaccine/pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities

• Build robust processes to support consistent and reliable supply.
• Resolve and elevate technical issues affecting supply within IPT processes.
• Own MES batch records and facilitate changes to support business needs.
• Define CPPs so vaccines filled at the Wilson site meet quality attributes.
• Act as SME during regulatory inspections for area of assignment.
• Ensure development and validation data support licensure and regulatory interactions.
• Execute change management with scientific justification.
• Investigate and implement CAPAs for process discrepancies.
• Manage startup activities to meet project timelines.
• Recommend improvements, productivity, and capital projects for IPT.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality and other groups on projects.
