Day & Zimmermann Company seeks an experienced Supervisor, UXO to lead ordnance clearance, assessment, demilitarization, disposal and testing activities on site at Hawthorne Army Depot in Nevada. You will supervise UXO personnel and direct safety-compliant remediation for the depot.

Position may require security clearance and US citizenship. The role emphasizes SOP development, staff training in range safety and incident response, with a focus on regulatory compliance and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Certified EOD/UXO per DDESB TP-18.
• 8+ years explosives ordnance disposal/UXO operations with supervisory experience.
• State Blaster license and UXO database registration; ability to obtain/state clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise UXO reconnaissance, location, recovery, classification, identification and disposal for military UXO and hazardous ordnance items.
• Oversee safe disposal methods for propellants and ammunition; determine demolition material requirements.
• Prepare SOPs, status/technical reports, annual clearance sweep plans and project records.
• Train staff in range safety, demolition techniques, hazardous materials handling and safe work practices.
• Provide UXO Safety Observer services and respond to incidents with assessment, control and remediation as needed.
