Job summary

IDS International seeks an experienced UX/UI Designer 2 for ADG Creative, its subsidiary, to design user-centered solutions for complex government and intelligence systems at Fort Meade, MD.

The role emphasizes creating intuitive experiences, conducting user research, and developing wireframes and prototypes, while ensuring design consistency across programs. A TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph is required to work in a trusted, mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of professional UX/UI design experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI design expertise.
• Deep expertise in Human-Centered Design (HCD).
• Demonstrated experience translating user research into actionable design decisions.
• Experience designing complex, data-rich systems and workflows.
• Experience working within Agile and/or SAFe software development environments.
• Strong proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement UX strategy across a large product portfolio to ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience.
• Maintain and evolve a comprehensive design system to drive consistency, scalability, and efficiency across products.
• Support design activities including stakeholder workshops, design sprints, and collaborative sessions.
• Conduct and support user research to understand workflows, pain points, and requirements.
• Create user journey maps, information architecture, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Advocate for end users and reflect their needs in design and development.
• Apply HCD within Agile/SAFe environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Present design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of UX processes, standards, and best practices.
• Support usability testing and incorporate findings into refinements.
