About the Role:
Security Journey is on a mission to reduce software vulnerabilities through education. We’re looking for a talented and experienced Sr. UX/UI Designer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping user-centered digital experiences by conducting research, creating detailed mockups and prototypes, and collaborating with a close-knit team.This is a hands-on position requiring a deep understanding of user experience principles, exceptional design skills, and the ability to translate complex ideas into intuitive and aesthetically pleasing designs.
This is a remote (work from home) position for candidates based in the United States.What you’ll do:- User Research:
- Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs and behaviors.
- Analyze research findings to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
- Create user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts to guide design decisions.
- Design and Prototyping:
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that illustrate user flows and interactions.
- Ensure designs align with project goals, brand guidelines, and accessibility standards.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing.
- Contribute to the overall product and design direction of the whole company
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with product and developers to ensure seamless handoff and implementation of designs.
- Provide design input and guidance throughout the development process.
What we're looking for:- 5+ years proven experience as a UX/UI Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing research-driven design work.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).
- Strong understanding of UX principles, usability testing, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, Section 508).
- Experience with user research methodologies and the ability to translate insights into actionable designs.
- Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
Bonus Points:- Experience designing for developers.
- Knowledge of front-end development principles or tools is a plus.
