Job summary

Pet Place is hiring their first Sr. UX Researcher to understand what pet parents need, value, and will pay for. You will report to the Head of Product and work across our consumer business and shelter/vet partners.

Your work will shape how we position and package our consumer offerings, determine bundling vs. add-ons, and reveal value after purchase. You’ll run studies, synthesize insights, and influence leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in HCI, psychology, market research, business, economics or similar.
• 5+ years in UX, consumer or market research, including product positioning/packaging/pricing changes.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative methods including survey design and pricing/trade-off methods (Van Westendorp, Gabor-Granger, MaxDiff, conjoint).
• Comfort with behavioral data, analytics tools and interpreting A/B test results.
• Fluency with AI tools across the research lifecycle to accelerate insights while maintaining rigor.
• Portfolio or case studies showing research-driven business or product decisions.
• Strong communication skills, including presenting to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Run generative and evaluative research across the customer journey from onboarding to purchase, renewal and claims.
• Lead research on positioning, packaging and pricing for consumer products and services.
• Build and prioritize customer segments with marketing and data partners.
• Establish voice-of-customer program with interviews and surveys.
• Collaborate with analytics and product on experiments; interpret results with qualitative context.
• Conduct research with shelters and partners across the funnel, including churn and win-back.
• Prioritize research requests and help PMs and designers run studies themselves.
• Present findings and recommendations to product teams and leadership to shape roadmap.
