Job summary

CISolutions is seeking a Senior UX/Product Design Consultant for a project-based engagement to evaluate and improve an existing software product. You will understand how customers use the product today, identify usability problems, and redesign key workflows to make the application easier to learn, navigate, and operate.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of UX, product design, or equivalent experience.
• Experience redesigning B2B, SaaS, enterprise, or operational software.
• Strong UX research and usability testing skills.
• Ability to communicate directly with users, developers, product stakeholders, and executives.
• Portfolio demonstrating measurable usability improvements.
• Experience with administrative software, identity/badgesystems, printing workflows, education technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review the existing product's UX, workflows, navigation, and terminology.
• Meet internal stakeholders to understand customer issues, support challenges, and business requirements.
• Conduct user interviews and usability sessions with representative users.
• Identify usability problems, confusing workflows, and opportunities for simplification.
• Prioritize findings by user impact and implementation effort.
• Develop improved information architecture and user flows.
• Create wireframes and interactive prototypes for priority workflows.
• Develop a modern, consistent UX/UI direction across the product.
• Validate proposed designs through usability testing and stakeholder reviews.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure recommendations are practical to implement.
• Deliverables include Current-State UX Audit, Improved Architecture, Interactive Prototype, Reusable Design System, Usability Validation, and Implementation Roadmap with handoff.
