Job summary

Google UX Engineers on the motion.code team create prototypes and production front-end code across Web and Native Mobile platforms. You will collaborate with design, engineering, and product to translate user insights into launches that push the boundaries of motion and AI-enabled interaction.

You will join a multi-disciplinary UX team, driving motion excellence in Search by bridging design intent and production software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• At least 6 years in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping.
• Experience building for Web and Native Mobile platforms (iOS/SwiftUI or Android/Jetpack Compose).
• Strong knowledge of UI animation, motion, and rendering performance.

Responsibilities

• Author production-grade front-end code across Web and Native Mobile platforms.
• Build Live Experiments and sandboxes to validate user feel, frame rates, and latency.
• Develop tooling and pipelines to shorten design-to-implementation timelines.
• Systemize motion tokens and transitions into the Design System for scalable governance.
• Provide technical leadership on exploratory interactions across UX, SWE, and Product.
