Job summary

JASINT Consulting and Technologies, LLC seeks a Lead UX Designer to drive the eMMA modernization for the Maryland Department of General Services, Office of Information Technology. Focus on user-centered design across enterprise applications with ADA accessibility and State standards.

You will guide UX strategy, conduct research, craft journeys and wireframes, and collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders through the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in UX-related field or equivalent.
• 8+ years of UX/UI design experience.
• Experience leading UX for large-scale government or enterprise apps.
• Strong user research, journeys, wireframes, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Experience in Agile environments and accessibility principles.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead UX strategy and design activities for the OIT program and related applications.
• Develop Launchpad user requirements, artifacts, workflows, and documentation.
• Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and usability studies.
• Create journeys, personas, IA, wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs.
• Translate business needs into accessible, user‑centered experiences.
• Facilitate design sessions with business users and technical teams.
• Establish UX standards and patterns across DGS applications.
• Ensure compliance with ADA and Maryland state standards.
• Collaborate across lifecycle with product owners, analysts, and developers.
• Review vendor deliverables to ensure UX alignment.
