Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
• Experience designing for native app-first experiences (iOS, Android).
• Experience contributing to mature design systems including component design, documentation, and education.

Responsibilities

• Create and extend interaction patterns, reconcile design divergences, and craft durable design frameworks.
• Partner with product areas to advocate for SDS and App Foundations, promote standards, and integrate changes into guidelines.
• Identify emerging needs, develop interaction design best practices, and contribute to pattern documentation.
• Lead or contribute to key projects, ensuring a holistic systems-thinking approach and advocating for user needs across platforms and applications.
• Foster a system-wide design mindset within the team and define the future of design systems at Search (and Google).
