Job summary

Google is seeking an experienced Interaction Designer in the US to transform complex tasks into intuitive experiences across platforms. You will create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, collaborating with engineering and PMs to evolve the Google design language.

The role demands a strong portfolio and expertise in visual design, prototyping, and presenting compelling design storytelling. It offers broad scope across ecosystem projects and a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
• Experience in visual design, prototyping, and creating presentations.
• Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify high-value opportunities and explore net-new product innovations that drive ecosystem growth and seamlessness by addressing emerging user needs across platforms and products.
• Take ownership of early-stage, ambiguous concepts and rapidly turn them into living, high-fidelity, interactive prototypes.
• Articulate design positions and challenge partners with new product design thinking utilizing excellent storytelling skills.
• Facilitate the innovation process through creative workshops, utilizing design thinking methods to align cross-functional and cross-product area partners behind a shared outlook.
• Partner across UX teams to drive these strategic directions into concrete launches and landings.
