Job summary

Google is seeking an Interaction Designer to transform complex tasks into intuitive experiences for billions of users. You will craft user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management to bring product experiences to life with craft and clarity.

You will apply user-centered design methods from concept to execution, evolving the Google design language and building a foundation for an adaptable, reliable app that anticipates user needs and guides

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
Experience designing for native app-first experiences (iOS, Android).
Experience contributing to mature design systems including component design, documentation, and education.

Responsibilities

Create and extend interaction patterns, reconcile design divergences, and craft durable design frameworks that elevate user experiences. Define the style and provide direction for the visual artifacts of SDS Native documents and tools.
Partner with product areas to advocate for SDS and App Foundations, promote standards, and integrate changes into guidelines. Collaborate effectively across functional teams.
Identify emerging needs, develop interaction design best practices, and contribute to interaction pattern documentation.
Lead or contribute to key projects, ensuring a holistic systems-thinking approach and advocating for user needs across platforms and applications.
Foster a system-wide design mindset within the team. Partner strategically with engineering, product, and Search Foundations to define the future of design systems at Search (and Google).
