Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior User Experience Designer for the Alexa Daily Essentials and Connections Design team to craft experiences across Echo devices, the Alexa mobile app, and other surfaces.

You will collaborate with researchers, product and engineering to turn insights into compelling, high-fidelity designs and prototypes that improve everyday tasks like calling, messaging, and content sharing. You must own deliverables and communicate vision clearly.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design experience.
• Have an available online portfolio.
• Experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or their functional equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Create world-class, user-centered designs through consideration of market research, customer needs, business requirements, and usability study findings.
• Demonstrate leadership in driving design processes into the organization that help refine strategy.
• Translate business requirements into use cases and high-level customer experience requirements.
• Design the architecture, interface, and interaction flow of touch screens, voice experiences, mobile applications, and web screens.
• Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes
• Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications
• Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and leadership for review and feedback.
• Work with our usability and data science teams to assess and optimize new and existing features.
• Develop high level, long-term strategy for Alexa Daily Essentials and Connections products.
• Collaborate with other design team members on Alexa Domain experiences, frameworks, process, and best practices.
